This was the first trip I booked with an insurance purchase. I usually don't get the insurance but I did for this particular trip for some reason. Good thing I did, because I had to use it unfortunately. came down with tonsillitis a couple days before I was supposed to fly out. My doctor recommended that I do not fly. My dealings with Allianz Global was a very pleasant experience. I had some questions and called Allianz global a few times all the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and told me exactly what I had to do. It was an easy, stress free experience and very prompt action was taken to reimburse my airfare. I would highly recommend Allianz Global Assistance and I will book future air travel with insurance.
Purchased through my travel agent (AAA Travel). Was given the option of buying this insurance through Allianz or Princess Cruises. Chose Allianz because it was generally the same coverage for quite a bit less cost. Was very happy with their service when (first time ever) I had to submit a claim for a missed port. The claim process was quick and required some, but not an unreasonable amount, of effort on my part. Received my check in a timely manner without the "haggling".
We booked two flights to Ft. Meyers long before we knew a hurricane would be going in that direction the same week we were due to fly there. We immediately cancelled our flights and re-booked. Fortunately, I had taken out insurance with Allianz for the flight. Just as soon as I filed the claim and provided all supporting documentation, I was contacted and was told a check was in the mail for the cancelled flights. I received my check and am so very grateful for the tremendous service I received.

Oh my goodness I'm I so happy that we purchased trip insurance with Allianz. We had booked a trip on AMTRAK many months ago when they had a special promotion. It had been a "bucket list" trip for a long time and it was a perfect opportunity to buy at a discount. However, because I have a disability I decided to go ahead and buy trip insurance since the trip was planned so far in advance. We'll by the time the trip came along I was in a very bad way physically and wasn't going to be able to make the 3-day long trip after all. I loaded the app on my phone, submitted our claim and prayed. Within a couple of weeks we had our answer and a few weeks after that we were refunded the entirety of the purchase price of our trip. They were fantastic. The process was super easy and quick. I will be purchasing trip insurance for all my future travels. Thank you Allianz!
Where do I begin. I have found it necessary to cancel two trips in the last 6 months—both insured with Allianz. With very little paperwork, I was able to verify medical reasons for canceling both trips and was reimbursed within 2 weeks. I had researched Allianz last year and found them to have very good ratings. I now can verify their total honesty and respectability. I have two upcoming trips and have insured both with Allianz.
