Curt handled the closing of out first house, which we purchased in March, 2019. We couldn't have been happier to have him on our team. He did a terrific job of working with us and explaining throughout the entire process. We really appreciated this, since my husband and I were juggling a lot: I was working full time while he finished up his PhD, all with an 8 month old and a 3 year old. We simply didn't have the energy or time to do everything for ourselves, so we are really glad to have Curt on our team.
Though Curt had an excellent command of the details, it was clear that people were more important for him than rules. Here's one example: our seller was a native Spanish speaker, so Curt went out of his way to arrange for an interpreter to be present (on his dime). This was prescient, since our seller had a few misgivings that he would have had a difficult time explaining in English. Curt got the seller’s lender on the phone and was able to sort things out. It turned out the lender had double charged our seller for flood insurance. Curt’s prescience in hiring an interpreter probably saved our seller $7k. More importantly, he walked away from the sell satisfied. All in all, we can't recommend Curt highly enough.
Excellent experience--Curt and his team are outstanding. We did a purchase without a broker and needed to find a title company, and Woodland was recommended by the seller's broker to help walk us through the process. Curt was excellent and responsive in all respects--he worked with our lender well, he was flexible, and he helped explain the process in a way we had never experienced before (this was our collective 3rd home purchase, and after working with Curt, I feel as though we actually understood what all of the line-item fees, various papers requiring signatures, and processing were related to). Curt went beyond the usual by even helping with handling a minor glitch that came up with the lender at the last minute. All things went through smoothly and efficiently thanks to Woodland. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and I would give them a 6th star if I could!
Curt and his team did an outstanding job of overseeing the closing process from day one. I have a busy schedule and travel a lot, which can make things difficult when needing to review and sign documents in person. Woodland was able accommodate my schedule and had the processes in place that allowed me and my wife to electronically sign and store all of our closing documents. Curt even made a “house call” to make sure we were able to close on time.
In addition to the convenience, Curt made sure we understood each stage of the closing process and what we were signing. His support was particularly helpful and gave us confidence while we navigated an unusually complicated house buying and selling process. I would highly recommend Woodland’s services.

I had amazing experience with Curtis and Matthew. They worked so hard behind the scenes to help with all the details. I received the impression that they are dedicated to the work and respect the people involved. I was lucky to have the seller cover my closing costs and they went through the numbers with a fine tooth comb to make sure every penny was allocated and benefited me. I even got a warranty out of the closing. I highly recommend this company for any real estate matter.
